PARIS (AP) — Five dead babies have been found in the home of a couple in the Bordeaux region in France, including four recovered from a freezer.
The fifth infant, a boy born on Tuesday, was found in a freezer bag.
Deputy Prosecutor Anne Kayanakis said Friday the woman in the farm home admitted giving birth to the boy.
The woman's husband alerted police on Thursday, saying he'd found the dead infant. A search of the home turned up the four babies in the freezer. Autopsies are planned.
The woman, who was not identified, was hospitalized for psychiatric tests, after speaking briefly with investigators. Police are also questioning the husband.
