CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say a 49-year-old inmate jailed since 1994 for murder has died at a Carson City prison.

Nevada Department of Corrections officials said Wednesday that Bobbie Mills had died the day before at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center's hospital.

A cause of death was not provided.

The agency says Mills was serving consecutive life sentences for first-degree murder and an additional sentence for kidnapping.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office is expected to conduct an autopsy.
