FIRE ISLAND, N.Y. (AP) — The Coast Guard says a search is underway for a missing crew member after a tugboat sank off Fire Island in New York. The search began this afternoon after a crew member reported the tug was going under. A Coast Guard spokeswoman says three male crew members were rescued from the water about a mile off a section of the island known as the Pines.
MIAIMI (AP) — A spokesman for Eglin Air Force Base says the largest sections of a Black Hawk helicopter that crashed in dense fog during a nighttime training mission early Tuesday have been pulled from the waters off Florida's Panhandle. He says salvage operations will continue in an attempt to recover the remains of all seven Marines and four soldiers who were killed.
WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) — At least eight people are confirmed dead in Vanuatu (vah-noo-AH'-too) following a massive cyclone. Aid workers expect the death toll to rise once communications are restored with outlying islands. Cyclone Pam, packing winds of 168 miles per hour, tore through the tiny South Pacific archipelago early Saturday, leaving a trail of death and destruction.

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) — A restroom at a Wal-Mart in eastern Indiana will be closed indefinitely after an employee discovered a working meth lab inside. State police say people who make methamphetamine are leaving "the deadly explosive chemicals in public places to return later to get the finished product," rather than risk explosions and contamination at their own homes.
