RONAN, Mont. (AP) — The Ronan School Board has rejected the recommendations of Ronan Superintendent Andy Holmlund and will readmit five students who were suspended following their arrests on drug distribution charges in February.

Holmlund recommended expulsion for two of the students, and long-term suspensions for the other three.

According to the Missoulian (http://tinyurl.com/pta6ehh), a standing-room-only crowd of approximately 150 people crowded into the Ronan High School library for a regularly scheduled school board meeting, but they were not allowed to speak about the expulsions.

The Ronan School Board met in five executive sessions that were closed to the public before making the announcement.
