SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A California man accused of groping and sexually propositioning a teenage girl on a flight from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City is being sentenced today. Hans Loudermilk pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge that he touched the 15-year-old's chin and rubbed her leg. Prosecutors say the 66-year-old was sitting next the girl when he told her he could teach her things sexually that boys her age could not and said she was old enough to marry him in Utah.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A hearing is scheduled today for a bill that would allow government employees in Utah to refuse to marry same-sex couples, but only if they give up their right to marry anyone. The measure would require that a county clerk's office have a designated person who will accommodate same-sex couples wishing to wed if the clerk opts out of approving those unions.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The woman who inspired the lead character of the TV show "Scandal" about a high-profile crisis manager is set to speak at the University of Utah. Officials say Judy Smith will be the keynote speaker on Monday for a week-long event exploring issues that affect women.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Delon Wright scored 18 points and Jordan Loveridge added 16 as No. 13 Utah came back to beat Washington State 67-59 last night. Utah closed the game with a 26-11 run to remain second in the Pac-12.
