(KSL News) -- A generic version of Zoloft has the green light from federal regulators, meaning the price is about to drop.
An Israeli company will make the no-name version of America's top-selling anti-depressant. The company expects the 25, 50 and 100-milligram tablets to be in US pharmacies in late July.
A price war could be brewing, because Pfizer, which makes Zoloft, is coming up with its own generic version. With its patent expiring tomorrow, Pfizer is looking to undercut its rivals' sales.
