OGDEN, Utah (AP) — A judge has upheld the latest charge against a former northern Utah teacher accused of having sex with three male students.
The Standard-Examiner of Ogden reports (http://bit.ly/17sfO6a ) that Judge Thomas Kay denied a request by Brianne Altice's attorney to dismiss charges filed in January.
Attorney Ed Brass argued that the charge should be dismissed because Altice was no longer the boy's teacher when the sex occurred.
Altice has pleaded not guilty. She is charged with a total of 14 felonies, including five counts of first-degree felony rape.
She was fired as a Davis High teacher last year.
According to the latest charges, after the 35-year-old Altice bailed out of jail, she continued to have an unlawful sexual relationship with one of the three students.
