Vancouver drama teacher pleads not guilty to raping student

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — A Vancouver high school drama teacher accused of sexual encounters with a 15-year-old student remains free on bail awaiting trial.

Stephanie McCrea pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Clark County Superior Court to child rape and sexual misconduct charges.

The Columbian reports (http://bit.ly/1vGVJ7Z) the 35-year-old McCrea and the boy are accused of having sex at her home and her office at Evergreen High School. She was placed on leave Jan. 9.
