LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Cameras, microscopes and giant mock dental instruments are part of a new oral health exhibit at Lansing's Impression 5 Science Center.

The "Chew on This!" exhibit is funded by the Delta Dental Foundation and opens Thursday in celebration of National Children's Dental Health Month.

One of the exhibit's highlights is a large lower jaw that features cavities, fillings swollen gums and plaque. Children can put on dental coats and use giant toothbrushes, floss and mock dental instruments on the teeth to practice brushing and flossing.

The Teeth Discovery Center lets children use magnifying lenses, microscopes and other dental tools to check out tooth decay and the makeup of teeth. There's also a simulated grocery store. The Delta Dental Foundation provided $100,000 to create the exhibit.
