COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) — Another teenage girl has reported having sexual relations with a math teacher who has since quit his job at Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs.
The Daily Nonpareil reports (http://bit.ly/1zFyN7d ) that 29-year-old Jeff Daugherty was arrested Wednesday. The girl told investigators that she was 17 last April when she and Daugherty stayed after school in his classroom and engaged in sex activities. Daugherty was initially arrested on Jan. 8 on allegations about having relations with a 14-year-old student.
Online court records say he is charged with two counts of sexual abuse, six counts of sexual exploitation by a school employee, one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of lascivious conduct with a minor.
Daugherty's attorneys didn't immediately return messages left Friday by The Associated Press.
