ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Georgia's university system is seeking someone to head a medical partnership campus in Athens.
University System of Georgia Chancellor Hank Huckaby says a search committee has been formed to find the next campus dean of the Georgia Regents University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership.
The committee is made up of 15 people from the two schools and the Athens community and is tasked with recruiting and screening candidates. Once it is done, the committee with submit three to five unranked candidates to Dr. Peter Buckley, dean of the Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Regents University and Pam Whitten, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost of the University of Georgia.
