BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) — Virginia Tech says undergraduate applications for admission have increased 7.6 percent.
The university says it has received nearly 22,500 freshman applications for admission to the Class of 2019, compared to 20,897 applications received last year.
Applications for admission to the Pamplin College of Business increased 16 percent, while applications to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences rose 13 percent.
Virginia Tech says it has received more than 9,000 applications for an estimated 1,650 spaces in the College of Engineering.
