PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The first of three candidates being considered for president of the University of Southern Maine is visiting the campus.
Zito Sartarelli's trip to the three USM campuses on Thursday and Friday will include meetings with students, staff and faculty members. Sartarelli is currently the chief global officer and dean of the College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University.
Glenn Cummings, the president of the University of Maine at Augusta, is also being considered for the post. He's scheduled to visit USM early next week.
The third candidate, Harvey Kesselman, will also visit next week. He serves as provost and executive vice president at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.
The three were chosen out of a group of 80 candidates for the post.
