SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A judge is sentencing a former Clearfield High School teacher to three years' probation after she was convicted of sexually abusing a 17-year-old female student.
Gaile Kristine Supp was sentenced Wednesday in the sexual battery case.
Court documents show Supp entered a plea in the case that doesn't admit guilt, but acknowledges the prosecution could prove the charge.
Prosecutors say the teen went to Supp's West Haven home in January 2013 to get help with homework. Instead, police say in a probable cause statement that her teacher showed her a sexually explicit movie and sexually assaulted her.
The 26-year-old Supp taught agriculture classes at Clearfield High School before her arrest.
Her lawyer did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
