BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A freshman lawmaker is pushing a bill that would give state scholarships to Idaho high school students who graduate with college credits as long as they also have a matching private scholarship. Republican Rep. Ryan Kerby of New Plymouth says the goal is to attract more students to attend Idaho public colleges.

"Butch" Otter and Attorney General Lawrence Wasden today urging the state to ban betting machines known as instant racing terminals. Roughly 250 machines have been installed in Idaho. NOTUS, Idaho (AP) — The Canyon County Sheriff's office is looking at newly-discovered surveillance video in the unsolved Dec. 17 killing of Notus convenience store clerk Christopher Reese. The video is from a private home. Security cameras in the store showed the suspects wearing masks and gloves. Canyon County Sheriff's Lt. Chris McCormick says 20 investigators went door-to-door throughout the Notus area and generated a number of new leads.
