HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Police say a Las Vegas man is dead after he was hit by a car in Henderson as he crossed Boulder Highway on foot against a light.

Authorities say 34-year-old John R. Murphy was in a crosswalk at Gibson Road, but there was a red "don't walk" signal when he was hit about 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Henderson police say he died at the scene.

Investigators don't believe speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, and the 26-year-old driver voluntarily took a blood test.

The driver was not hurt in the crash.

This is the second traffic-related death in Henderson this year.
