CINCINNATI (AP) — The FBI is claiming success in the fight against terrorism. The agency says a man who was plotting to attack the U.S. Capitol and kill government officials was arrested today during an undercover operation in southwestern Ohio. According to the FBI, 20-year-old Christopher Lee Cornell also spoke of his desire to support the Islamic State militant group.

PARIS (AP) — ,Police say the gunman who killed four hostages at a Paris kosher supermarket had filled the small suburban house he rented the week before the attack with an arsenal of late-model weapons. A published report says a search of Amedy Coulibaly's (ah-med-ee kool-ee-bahl-eez), house has enabled police to identity a potential fourth attacker.
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the growing discord between New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and the city's Police Department must be resolved. He says "It's not healthy and it's not productive" especially with the threat of terrorism. His comments come a day after he met with city police union leaders as part of a wider debate about police conduct and officer safety.
DETROIT (AP) — Protesters are calling for criminal charges to be brought against two members of a police task force who appear to be white who were caught on video beating and kicking a 51-year-old black carjacking suspect during an arrest in Detroit. The video of Monday's arrest was posted on Facebook. The protest organizer calls the officers' actions "despicable" and "barbaric" and "not professional."
RIVERTON, Wyo. (AP) — One of the last of the Marlboro Men has died. A funeral home says Darrell Hugh Winfield died Monday at his home in Riverton, Wyoming, at the age of 85. Winfield's rugged good looks made him the macho cowboy face of Marlboro cigarettes in magazine and television ads from the late 1960s to the late 1980s...
