BILOXI, Miss., Jun 27, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- A Mississippi woman received the best first anniversary gift she could imagine: She found the wedding dress she thought had been lost to Hurricane Katrina.
The Biloxi (Miss.) Sun-Herald reports Annie Bazoon-Singleton was scouting the neighborhood for items she could use when she came across the dress nestled in a section of pulled up flooring in the only house still standing on her street.
"I just think it is just one of those things. You never quit looking. Every time you walk outside, you are looking for something that might be yours or your neighbor's," she told the newspaper.
She had married her husband just three months before Katrina hit. She also found a high school pendant.
