Police arrest suspect in rapes reported in Boise

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A 26-year-old Boise man police say is responsible for rapes that occurred in 2009 and 2010 in Boise has been taken into custody.

Police arrested Andy Demostenes Gallegos at a home in Garden City on Wednesday.

He's being held in the Ada County Jail and faces two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and two counts of burglary.

Police say a 2009 rape occurred in a Boise park and involved two other men. Police say they are looking for two other suspects.

Police say an attempted rape occurred in a home on the north side of Boise in August 2010. Police say several weeks later a woman was raped in a home on the north side of the city.

Gallegos is being held on $2 million bond.
