SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Basic Law Enforcement Academy classes began Tuesday in Spokane for students from 18 police departments in Washington.
For the past seven years, officers in Washington have trained only at the state academy in Burien.
Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich (kuh-NEZ'-oh-vich) tells KXLY (http://bit.ly/1xF17Hb ) the Spokane classes are a huge milestone
Students will graduate in five months from the Spokane academy.
