Springs Memorial Hospital to limits visitors because of flu

LANCASTER, S.C. (AP) — Officials at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster is limiting visitation because of the high number of confirmed flu cases in the area.

The Herald of Rock Hill reports (http://bit.ly/1wQsf0O) that children under 12 are being asked not to visit patient rooms or visit patients within the emergency room. Parents are also requested to not bring children to the waiting room of the emergency department unless they are being seen as a patient.

Persons with symptoms of a respiratory infection such as coughing, sneezing, runny nose, elevated temperature, are being asked not to visit the hospital until their symptoms have disappeared.

Masks are available at the first-floor front reception desk for visitors wanting to use one while at the hospital.
