LAS VEGAS (AP) — Two women are dead and five people are hurt including a 1-year-old and a 25-year-old driver who police say faces felony driving under the influence charges in a two-vehicle crash late Christmas Eve at a northwest Las Vegas intersection.
Las Vegas police say an 81-year-old woman and a 63-year-old woman were killed when a speeding BMW 300i passed a red light and hit the GMC Terrain they were in a little after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Their names weren't immediately made public.
Police say a 1-year-old boy and a 42-year-old woman, both from Ellenwood, Georgia, were injured.
The woman, Cotina Porter-Smith, was driving the GMC.
The driver of the BMW, Ray Diokno, and his passengers, 25-year-old Jermayne Jefferson and 26-year-old Matthew Modelo, were hospitalized with serious injuries at University Medical Center.
