BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho's population has jumped to 1.63 million with the addition of 21,000 new residents in the last year.
The U.S. Census Bureau on Tuesday pegged Idaho's population growth as measured in mid-2014 at just over 1.3 percent, ninth strongest in the nation.
The agency says nearly 9,400 more people moved to Idaho from other states and countries than moved out.
Nationally, the population grew 0.7 percent to nearly 319 million.
