RENO, Nev. (AP) — The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed a 31-year-old inmate found dead at the county jail in August died from natural causes.
The autopsy released late Monday concludes Kerry Roop of Reno was suffering from a heart condition caused by high blood pressure.
KRNV-TV reports (http://tinyurl.com/ptgc72b) Roop turned herself in on a contempt of court violation at the Washoe County Jail on August 22. Deputies founder her dead in her cell two days later.
