Matt Christensen named editor of Times-News

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Matt Christensen has been named the new editor of the Times-News and in south central Idaho.

Christensen is returning to the paper after starting his journalism career at the Twin Falls daily in 2005 as a features and natural resource reporter.

Most recently, Christensen served as the editor of the Montana Standard in Butte since 2013. He was the city editor of the Winona Daily News in Minnesota from 2008 to 2011 and then city editor of the La Crosse Tribune in Wisconsin.

Times-News ( Publisher Travis Quast says Christensen brings experience in helping newsrooms evolve in a digital age.

Christensen replaces Autumn Phillips, who recently became the editor of The Southern in Carbondale, Ill.
