The helicopter owner says the mechanics were trying to check the track and balance of the rotor blades.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say a man in custody stole a Utah County sheriff deputy's vehicle and led officers on a high-speed chase before his arrest. A sheriff's spokesman says not all Utah County Sheriff's Office vehicles have cages separating the front from the back. It wasn't immediately clear why the man was in custody or how he managed to get into the driver's seat.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Park City man accused of trying to have a romantic rival killed is taking a plea deal.
