GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) — Construction could begin in the spring on a new dorm building at Gillette College.
The new dormitory will have 150 beds, 50 more than the current building, as well as a resident dining area.
The city of Gillette is picking up almost 90 percent of the $12.5 million cost through an agreement with Gillette College. The Gillette News-Record reports (http://bit.ly/1A55Dhd ) the city will own the building and lease it to the college.
Officials expect to approve the agreement Dec. 16.
Gillette College will be responsible for operating and maintaining the dorm building including any renovation or repair work. The school also will pay for all furnishings.
