BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A southwest Idaho man police say posed as someone else and sent threatening text messages to coerce a young girl to send him nude photos has been taken into custody.
Eighteen-year-old Michael Anthony Hall of Boise was booked into the Ada County Jail on Thursday on suspicion of grand theft and three felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office tells the Idaho Statesman (http://bit.ly/1p5LM0f) that Hall used an application to disguise his phone number and told the girl he'd release embarrassing information about her unless she sent him nude photos.
The frightened girl complied before telling her parents, who contacted authorities in early October.
Hall was being held in the Ada County Jail on $250,000 bond.
