CHICAGO (AP) — The School of the Art Institute of Chicago has received a $1.2 million donation to fund need-based scholarships for Chicago high school graduates.

The money comes from an auction of artwork that was part of the Bank of America's company collection. Those works include several by Art Institute alumni, including Ed Paschke and Ray Yoshida.

Some of the money also comes from a separate auction at Sotheby's.

Other works up for sale at Monday night's auction at the school included Roy Lichtenstein's "Sweet Dreams, Baby."

The Art Institute was founded in 1866 and has 3,200 students.
