TORONTO (AP) — An Air Canada flight from Toronto to Hong Kong carrying 349 passengers has returned to Toronto because of a mechanical issue. The plane landed safely.

Air Canada spokesman Peter Fitzpatrick said Monday the pilot of flight AC015 decided to turn around after receiving an indicator light that suggested the cargo door was open. He says the aircraft landed normally and the passengers will be travelling on a different plane later Monday. Maintenance will examine the Boeing 777 plane.
