LAS VEGAS (AP) — Clark County school officials plan to outline corrective actions taken after several educators were removed in April in an investigation of cheating on standardized tests at a West Las Vegas elementary school. A district spokeswoman says the school board will get a report Nov. 13. Test scores for 2012 were nullified.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Developers say they're starting construction on a privately-funded $1.4 billion retractable-roof sports arena and resort backed by a former UNLV and NBA player at a former waterpark site on the Las Vegas Strip. Jackie Robinson says the planned 22,000-seat All Net Resort & Arena will be built on Las Vegas Boulevard just south of Sahara Avenue. Robinson has said he's talked with NBA officials about drawing a professional franchise to Las Vegas.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles prosecutors have charged Suge Knight and comedian Katt Williams with robbery after a celebrity photographer reported the men stole her camera. The Los Angeles County district attorney's office says Williams was arrested when he appeared for an arraignment in a separate assault case, and Knight was arrested in Las Vegas. Messages to representation for Knight and Williams were not immediately returned.
UNDATED (AP) — JT Mollner likes to compare haunted house visitors to bungee jumpers and skydivers — they want to be safe, but they also want an adrenaline rush. Mollner is a managing partner at Freakling Bros in Las Vegas. His family decided to take haunted houses to a new level and create an R-rated attraction called Gates of Hell.
