IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Officials in the southeast Idaho city of Idaho Falls are considering a rule change to increase the limit on the number of dogs in a household from two to three.
But the rule change will also eliminate a noncommercial kennel license that allows residents to have more than three dogs.
The Post Register reports (http://www.postregister.com/node/66375) that the proposed rules wouldn't force residents with more than three dogs to eliminate pets. But they'd have to wait until they were under the three-dog limit before getting another dog.
The City Council recently gave preliminary approval for the plan and will take public comments at its meeting on Nov. 13.
