POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Some school districts in southeast Idaho haven't been able to find qualified teachers to fill open positions, and officials fear the problem will become worse. The Idaho State Journal reports that Pocatello, American Falls and Aberdeen school districts have had to use student teachers, substitutes and teachers with provisional certifications. Aberdeen School District Superintendent Jane Ward says it's a struggle to find teacher's under the state's existing teacher licensing plan.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — South-central Idaho police officers say they are investigating after someone shot at the front entrance of a newspaper building. The Times-News reports that someone shot the front window at their Twin Falls building on October 25th. Police say no bullet has been found yet. Police stopped by two days later to take pictures of the damage and interview reporters who were in the building over the weekend.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Police in Boise say a man's body has been found and he appears to be a victim of foul play. Officers responded about 10:30 a.m. yesterday to the Americana Bridge. Police say the dead man is in his 30s.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise State says it will begin offering cost of attendance scholarships for all sports should NCAA rules be changed. The school announced its plans on Tuesday. Athletic director Mark Coyle says the intent is to provide support for more than just the Broncos' successful football program.
