STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Best-selling author Scott Turow will headline an annual speaker series at Oklahoma State University.
The H. Louise and H.E. "Ed" Cobb Speaker Series is the largest fundraising event for the Friends of the OSU Library and includes a dinner, lecture and book signing.
Turow is best known for his legal thrillers and is the author of nine best-selling works of fiction including his first novel, "Presumed Innocent," which was the basis of the 1990 Harrison Ford movie by the same name.
He also has two non-fiction books: "One L," considered must-read material for any new law student, and "Ultimate Punishment," a reflection on the death penalty.
The event is scheduled Nov. 14. Past authors have included Neil deGrasse Tyson, Ken Burns, Doris Kearns Goodwin and Kurt Vonnegut.
