CLEVELAND (AP) — Police say they arrested a man at an Ohio casino who made a comment about his wife having Ebola.
The 60-year-old man was arrested at his home Wednesday and charged with inducing panic after making the comment at the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland.
The Northeast Ohio Media Group (http://bit.ly/1sV6QX8 ) reports that the man, who wasn't named, said his wife was a nurse and had just returned from West Africa infected with Ebola. Police said he made the comment after losing money at a gaming table.
The table where the man was playing was shut down as a precaution. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Ohio Casino Control and Cleveland police were notified, according to the casino.
Police were quickly able to determine his story wasn't true.
