DALLAS (AP) — The woman hosting Thomas Eric Duncan before he was diagnosed with Ebola says she's angry his son couldn't visit him before he died.
Louise Troh released a statement saying she trusts "a thorough examination will take place" into Duncan's care. Duncan died Wednesday at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.
Duncan came to Dallas from Liberia to visit his son and other family on Sept. 20. He fell ill and went to the hospital Sept. 25, but he wasn't diagnosed until going back with more severe symptoms Sept. 28.
Troh says the family is "in deep sadness and grief." But she says her immediate concern is "dealing with the sorrow and anger" that Duncan's son couldn't visit him shortly before he died.
She says Duncan "showed compassion toward all."
