Driver crashes into Idaho grocery; hits gas line

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — Police in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, say they have arrested a male driver who crashed into a Safeway building and struck a gas line, causing a brief evacuation of nearby homes.

The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports the crash happened Monday night near the loading dock where a gas line enters the building. Avista utility crews turned off the gas line and residents were able to return home.

KHQ-TV reports the driver was arrested for investigation of drunken driving.
