LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 27-year-old native of Belize has been indicted in Las Vegas on multiple charges in the shooting death of one woman and the wounding of another in a parking lot outside a steak and sushi restaurant.

Court records show that Carim J. Cruz is due for arraignment Oct. 14 in Nevada state court following his indictment Wednesday on murder, attempted murder and other charges in the Aug. 16 shooting outside the Geisha House on Flamingo Road near the 215 Beltway.

Defense attorney John Momot didn't immediately respond Thursday to messages.

Cruz was arrested Aug. 21. He's being held without bail at the Clark County jail.

Police say Cruz argued with 33-year-old Deanna Serano's boyfriend before firing from a car in the parking lot, killing Serano and wounding another woman.
