SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Salt Lake County prosecutors have dropped 14 charges of prescription drug fraud against an assistant fire chief with the Unified Fire Authority. Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill says in court documents that after reviewing evidence and testimony in the case, he doesn't believe prosecutors have enough to convict Unified Assistant Fire Chief Marlon Jones.

Defense attorney Tyler Ayres says 49-year-old Jones has always followed directions from his doctors and never abused medication.
