BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Incumbent Republican Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter won't be there tonight when candidates for governor of Idaho hold their first debate. Democratic gubernatorial candidate A.J. Balukoff will face off against Libertarian candidate John Bujak in Twin Falls. Otter has accepted invitations to take part in other debates.

DENVER (AP) — A German citizen who crashed a drone into a lake in Yellowstone National Park this summer has been banned from the park for a year and was ordered to pay $1,600 in fines and restitution. Andreas Meissner was charged with four federal misdemeanors after a drone he was using to shoot video of a charity bicycle ride through the park crashed into Lake Yellowstone on July 18.

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Bannock County Sheriff Lorin Nielsen says he hopes to meet with Fort Hall Tribal Council Chairman Nathan Small to iron out a dispute that began during an recent armed standoff. The Sheriff says a tribal council member ordered the county's SWAT team off the reservation and threatened to confiscate an armored vehicle. Tribal officials were not available for comment.

NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Police are looking for a dark green 1998 Chevrolet Prism involved in a possible road rage incident before a rollover that led to a 19-year-old woman being hospitalized in serious condition. Police say the 1997 Saturn crashed at about 1 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 84 in Nampa. The female driver was ejected while the male passenger didn't require hospitalization.

CASCADE, Idaho (AP) — A 28-year-old Caldwell woman has died in an all-terrain vehicle crash. The Valley County Sheriff's Office says Laura Ream became trapped under the ATV in the crash at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The sheriff's office says a 2-year-old boy sustained serious injuries in the crash and was flown to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
