This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.

About 10 years ago Rob and Ray Hibl were introduced to what they termed "the Cadillac of coffee roasting." Seeing a prime business opportunity, the twin brothers purchased the coffee roaster and created Park City Coffee Roaster.

Park City Coffee Roaster started out as a bagelry and coffee shop, where the Hibl brothers roasted fresh coffee beans. About five years ago, Rob and Ray sold the retail portion of their business to focus on wholesale. Their product is now distributed in Park City restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and some of the local ski resorts.

Rob tells me the main focus of Park City Coffee Roaster is to provide high-quality coffees in blends normally not found in Utah. He and Ray purchase coffee directly from growers in 18 different countries, and around 75 percent of their coffee is certified organic and fair traded. The company is one of only two certified fair trade roasters in the state. Their coffee beans are roasted to order to provide the freshest product possible.

Two of the most popular coffee blends the Hibls sell include the Park City Blend, a mix of Guatemalan, Kenyan and Brazilian coffees with cocoa and spice, and the Local's Secret, a special blend of organic coffees. Rob and Ray also sell chai and Ghirardelli chocolates, but coffee beans are their main focus.

A year ago, Harmons grocery stores contacted the Hibl brothers about packaging their gourmet coffee as Harmons' private label coffee. Now Park City Coffee Roaster exclusively provides Harmons' new Mountain Roasted Coffee in 14 varieties of flavored, organic and fair trade coffees from around the world. The coffee, which the Hibls deliver to the stores within 72 hours of roasting, is available in both whole bean and packaged ground.

Rob says Park City Coffee Roaster is distinct because he and Ray work directly with each client. Although expansion is possible, for now the Hibl brothers plan to continue delivering the freshest product and cultivating relationships with current clients.

For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
