RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A new app is making it easier to donate blood.
The American Red Cross describes the app as a first of its kind. It allows users to schedule blood donations, locate a donation center, track their donations and invite friends to join in the giving, among other features.
The app can also synchronize a blood donation appointment with the donor's schedule and lead to exclusive discounts at retailers.
Call the Blood Donor App, it is free and available for download in app stores.
