SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Gov. Gary Herbert is urging Utah families to eat a meal together at least once a week this month.
State officials announced Monday that Herbert signed an order declaring September a "Healthy Family Meals Month."
The governor's declaration says family meals can have positive social, emotional and physical effects on individuals and children.
Utah's health department has launched a website to support the effort that features healthy recipes and tips.
The website can be found at utahfamilymeals.org.
