KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) — The search will resume at daybreak for the wreckage of a high-performance plane carrying Rochester, New York, real estate developer Laurence Glazer and his entrepreneur wife, Jane. The plane crashed off Jamaica with frosted over windows and an incapacitated pilot after a 1,700 mile flight. The frosted over windows suggest a pressurization problem rendered the occupants unconscious.
MARIPOSA, Calif. (AP) — Officials say a wildfire on the edge of California's Yosemite National Park that forced the evacuation of about 700 homes is about 10 percent contained. Officials say there was one minor injury. No damage has been reported.
UNDATED (AP) — Parts of India and Pakistan are being devastated by heavy monsoon rains and flash floods. At least 110 people in Pakistan and 86 people in India have died and officials say the death toll could rise as the rain continues. Meanwhile, China's Civil Affairs Ministry says 44 people have been killed and 18 are missing after a week of flooding in the country's southwest that has also caused massive damage to housing and crops.
KIEV, Ukraine (AP) — Ukrainian National Guard Commander Stepan Poltorak is quoted today by the Interfax news agency as saying "there haven't been any violations" of a cease-fire deal between Kiev, Moscow and Russia-backed separatists. The cease-fire deal was signed yesterday after five months of bloodshed.
NEWPORT, Wales (AP) — The U.S. and nine key allies say they'll confront militants from the Islamic State group. NATO agreed yesterday that the group is a significant threat and to squeeze the militants' financial resources as well as go after them with military might. President Barack Obama says a new NATO coalition will be able to mount a sustained effort to push back the militants.
