LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Las Vegas man is dead after authorities say he was shot by a homeless woman who sometimes stayed at his house.

Police say they arrested 30-year-old Marjorie Fiora on Wednesday after she was found in a nearby backyard with help from a police dog.

Officials say they were told about 6 p.m. that 56-year-old Joseph Levine had been shot at a home on Franklin Avenue. He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators say Fiora was swimming in the backyard pool with two of Levine's brothers, then went into the home naked. That's when the brothers say they heard a loud bang and found Levine shot inside the house.

Police say Fiora fled and stole a dress from another home before her capture.
