LAS VEGAS (AP) — Clark County School District officials say two administrators who were placed on leave during a cheating investigation are back on the job, but in different positions.
District officials say the investigation into a dramatic improvement in standardized test scores at Kelly Elementary School in 2012 is still open, but then-principal Patricia Harris and then-assistant principal Steven Niemeier have been reassigned to new jobs.
The Nevada Department of Education released a report in April concluding at least one adult changed wrong responses to right ones on answer sheets. But the investigation did not determine who might have been responsible.
Officials with the union representing school administrators wrote to State Superintendent Dale Erquiaga last week, calling the investigation "fundamentally flawed."
Erquiaga says he's willing to review any new information the union provides.
