HEBER CITY, Utah (AP) — The Heber City police chief says there's nothing illegal about a breastfeeding booth that drew complaints at a farmer's market last week. The Utah Breastfeeding Coalition set up the booth to give women a space to take a break and nurse. Coalition organizer Meghan Reed says the organizer of the Heber Valley Farmer's Market demanded that photos of breastfeeding women be taken down.
WEST JORDAN, Utah (AP) — A small plane crashed on a soccer field in the Salt Lake City suburb of West Jordan yesterday morning, injuring all three members of an Idaho family aboard. Police say the plane crashed shortly after takeoff and witnesses pulled the people out of the aircraft before it burst into flames.
MANDAREE, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 19-year-old man from Utah and a 27-year-old man from Idaho were killed when their vehicle struck a cow that had wandered onto a road in western North Dakota Friday night. The Patrol says the victims were 27-year-old Kaleb Steed of Mountain Home, Idaho, and 19-year-old Jake Holm of St. George, Utah.
PARK CITY, Utah (AP) — Tom Danielson successfully defended his Tour of Utah cycling title Sunday, while former Tour de France champion Cadel Evans proved he's rounding into form by winning his second consecutive stage. Jure Kocjan won the points competitions as the top sprinter, while Joey Rosskopf was awarded the king of the mountains jersey.
