RENO, Nev. (AP) — A Spanish Springs man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting and using minors to make pornography over 14 years. Washoe County sheriff's deputies say they arrested 54-year-old Craig Steven Blodgett on Tuesday and identified three alleged victims so far. Blodgett was booked on 10 different counts, including sexual assault of a child under 14.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A former Nevada lawmaker who spent 16 months in jail for fighting with California police after a high-speed freeway chase is back in Las Vegas to face criminal charges resulting from an earlier arrest. Steven Brooks of North Las Vegas today goes before a Las Vegas judge on felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from his February 2013 arrest in Nevada.
FALLON, Nev. (AP) — Churchill County sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a 45-year-old man who had been reported missing more than a week ago. Deputies say a jogger found Howard Shell's remains yesterday near Fallon about 3 miles northwest of where he last had been seen alive. There were no obvious signs of foul play.
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier both deeply regret their brawl at a publicity stop in Las Vegas earlier this week. The light heavyweights also say they would probably do it again in a similar situation. Jones and Cormier kept their rivalry civil Tuesday during another publicity appearance for their title fight next month. They'll likely face disciplinary action from the UFC and the Nevada Athletic Commission for the scuffle.
