NEW YORK (AP) — Discount airline Allegiant Air said Friday that a computer system outage is causing delays.
The Las Vegas airline said the outage is affecting its website, customer check-in, and its text alert system. Allegiant said the problem started at about 8:25 a.m. Eastern Time and was still affecting its operations as of 12:40 p.m. press release. It said employees were processing check-ins and boarding manually, which was causing delays.
Allegiant Air is a unit of Allegiant Travel Co. Shares of Allegiant Travel rose $2.32, or 2 percent, to $120.68 in afternoon trading.
