Decades worth of BURT REYNOLDS memorabilia will soon be homeless as the building where it is housed is being turned into a biomedical research institute.
The Jupiter Town Council in Palm Beach County, Florida is looking to sell the Burt Reynolds & Friends Museum building to make room for the non-profit Scripps Research Institute, which officials say will encourage hundreds of new scientists to the area.
Town Manager ANDY LUKASIK has said that the institute and the potential to use the building for future projects virtually guarantee its eventual sale.
Museum director MIKE DANIEL says, "This decision - and it looks like the town is pretty serious about selling the building - means that we are looking for a home."
Reynolds, whose career spans over four decades, owns a home in nearby Jupiter Island, one of the richest towns in the United States. (MP/WNWP/ES)
